Some Exciting Author News!

Well, I have some exciting news to share!

My short story, “Copperheads,” has been accepted for publication in The Oklahoma Review!

I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am about this. As someone who is working toward becoming a traditionally published author, this means a great deal to me.

Writing has become such an important part of my life, and while I absolutely love doing it, there's something pretty incredible about sending your work out into the world and having someone decide they want to publish it.

Of course, there's also the nerve-racking part of submitting a story and waiting to hear back. You send it off, hope for the best, and try not to check your email a hundred times.

So getting that acceptance was a pretty wonderful feeling!

This is also another step toward what I've been working so hard for. My goal is to become a traditionally published novelist, and I'm continuing to work on my novel while also writing and submitting short stories to literary magazines.

It's a slow process, especially while working a full-time job and trying to find enough hours in the day to do everything else life requires. But I'm determined to keep going. I know this isn't something that happens overnight, and I'm willing to put in the work.

And I have to say, seeing “Copperheads” accepted by The Oklahoma Review gives me even more motivation to keep writing, learning, and putting my stories out there.

The story hasn't been published yet, but as soon as it's available, I'll be sharing the news here on my website so everyone can read it.

In the meantime, I'll be right here doing what I love, working on my novel, coming up with more stories, and probably spending way too much time thinking about ways to scare people.
